To leave the city and see what's really out there, or to stay here and wait for a miracle to happen...
...or whatever can be counted as a miracle in this place.
The answer would seem pretty obvious, if not for the people who keep winding up dead because of it.
I'm no coward, but... I can't say that I'm all that fond of dying either. That, and things always look that much worse when the doctor from your own world winds up getting sick.
