57 Souls [Video Post]
Jul. 28th, 2009 07:00 am[The rain can be seen falling outside, occassionally hitting the dirty windowpane the communicator is faced toward. It sounds pretty harmless, except for the softest hissing noise. Acid, after all.]
[Soul can be heard giving a sigh, not yet in the camera's view.] This is bad... I don't know what the rain will be doing to the water out there. The lake seems to have taken its share of abuse since I've been here.
[His fingers come into view as the communicator is grabbed from the side, and slowly pulled around. He can be seen running a hand through his spikey hair.]
Does anyone have any suggestions for helping to cure a cold? ...Maybe a fever? Kind of pressed for traditional methods, and
bookwormmeister who don't know how to stay still awhile. Even if they happen to be booksmart.
... [He looks off to the side, thoughtful... Then gives his arms a stretch and stands up.]
Staying inside like this is getting to me. Sure, it's much easier to get around to morning training than it used to be, but my scythe will still go to rust and possibly corrode if I try to go out there without a good reason. -- I'd like to avoid that possibilityand the pain.
Ah-.. [A smug grin is given at a thought.] That's right. They're both here now... Oi,
suprstarmeister,
asymmetriphobic... If we ever get things back to the way things used to be, then how about a rematch? I'm stronger than I was before. Something to think about.
[Click.]
[[ooc Remember that fight that happen back on Kid's first day of school? Yeah... Those were the days. Also, a thousand apologies for being slightly failmun.]]

Date: 2009-07-28 08:04 am (UTC)So I was gone to gather supplies before this incident hits for a few minutes and need I remember you that I have been sitting still for three days at the time and everyone goes ballistic.
And since you want to comment about my "booksmart" abilities, I thought that going out for some fresh air usually helps when someone is ill.

Date: 2009-07-28 08:50 pm (UTC)[...] ...Sounds like I wasn't. So, why did you go out alone, anyway? Even if you did what you thought was "booksmart" at the time, going without some kind of weapon wasn't so much.
Heh. The air isn't so great when the remnants of all that volcanic ash leads to acid rain. Try again, Maka.

Date: 2009-07-28 08:59 pm (UTC)[And she pauses for a moment as she tries to come up with an answer. Why DID she go out on her own? She had a perfectly good reason at the time, but her mind is too foggy to remember it. So she opens her mouth to comment on the next thing,...but only to shut it again. He did make a point about the air. Defeated, Maka turns her gaze elsewhere as she frowns. Damn him.]
Well,...I still think I have a right to stretch my legs sometimes.

All right, all right... You've got me there.
Just don't forget that there are steps to keep you from getting sicker. I can't remember a time where anyone said they were the most pleasant.
So... How are you feeling now, anyway?

Date: 2009-07-28 08:00 pm (UTC)For a fever, drink lots of fluids and try to avoid eating solid foods. Oh, and taking a cool bath in low-level water helps as well. If the fever doesn't get above 102, then just letting it take its course and cure whatever infection is in the body is the best thing to do.
Bed rest is always the best solution though, that is if the illness isn't too bad.

Date: 2009-07-28 08:54 pm (UTC)Mm. I'm fine, Hanyuu. At least for now.
I'm not the one who is sick. ...Just the one looking after the one who is sick. My partner.

Date: 2009-07-29 08:28 pm (UTC)Mm. That's what I've always done in the past. The rest was usually filled up by anyone who doted on me for it, but all I cared for was getting enough sleep.
But thanks. I'll keep that in mind. - The advice isn't for me, though.
