I don't like this.
First there is the message that Jackie and thatrefracted_green passed along about Dr. Muraki, and now this. The risk of dying after your chip is removed. Pretty much a failure. I don't think that the Scientists are will sorry enough for anyone not to bring them back to square one.
...I also might be crazy, but... with the weather being the way it is, and what's been going on in this city lately... I have a feeling that something is going to happen soon. Watch your step, guys.
[There is another long pause, and then the communicator is abandoned. Set down on the floor, most likely.
There isn't another sound to be heard until a basketball starts thumping loudly against the floor of the gymnasium, and is thrown up for a shot against an old netless rim.]
