1 Soul [Voice Post]

[In a matter of seconds, a new transmission pipes up on the communications network. It is silent for a few seconds, but in the background there is a sound of someone stirring, as if they are just waking up from a hard sleep. A pair of shoes grind against the floor as if there were some scattered pebbles underneath.]

Ow... My head.

Ugh... and what's that awful fishy smell...? ...Too bad that cat isn't around.

Nn...? What's that? [A few fingers brush up against the speaker of the device.]

A radio? The hell... Did someone just leave this there?

...There's a note. The World is ours, and there's nowhere left to run. [A pause, and then the note is crumpled up and thrown against the ground.]

If this is someone's idea of a sick joke, then it isn't funny. I must have gotten knocked out for my head to hurt this much...

Oi, Maka! If you're out there, then give me a shout! [Another pause.]

[Sigh] This is so not cool.

Figures. Something about that guy rubbed me the wrong way almost right from the start. ...But I guess there's nothing to be done about that right now. Not when I'm like this.

Yeah, all right. I'll try to keep an eye out for that place while I'm looking around. Hopefully it won't be while I'm running.
