[In a matter of seconds, a new transmission pipes up on the communications network. It is silent for a few seconds, but in the background there is a sound of someone stirring, as if they are just waking up from a hard sleep. A pair of shoes grind against the floor as if there were some scattered pebbles underneath.]

Ow... My head.

Ugh... and what's that awful fishy smell...? ...Too bad that cat isn't around.

Nn...? What's that? [A few fingers brush up against the speaker of the device.]

A radio? The hell... Did someone just leave this there?

...There's a note. The World is ours, and there's nowhere left to run. [A pause, and then the note is crumpled up and thrown against the ground.]

If this is someone's idea of a sick joke, then it isn't funny. I must have gotten knocked out for my head to hurt this much...

Oi, Maka! If you're out there, then give me a shout! [Another pause.]

[Sigh] This is so not cool.

... Yeah, I have. There is some unfinished business that I have to take care of here first. But someone has already given me a map to this place and Deathscythe is offering that I stay at his apartment until I get my feet off the ground. I'll be fine.
