[Maka stumbled at the tug, however knocked his arm away with her own to break his grip.]

[His fingers slipped as his arm was knocked aside, but he just replaced it by wrapping his hand around her wrist. Oh, no you don't.]

You can't try to do it all on your own, Maka! That doesn't just go for a Weapon and Meister, but for everybody else that's here too!

Don't you get it? Things are falling apart so easily because everyone tries to be the hero or the villain. If you've got to be the hero in this, then be smart about it!

[As he spoke, Maka's anger slowly faded. She knew deep down that he had a point, that what she was doing was a bit foolish and mostly out of frustration at all of the sudden situations appearing at once. The meister lowered her head and said nothing for a moment, idly curling and uncurling her fingers--a very faint wince escaped her lips--forgotten about the burnt. ]

...Then..what do I do? I..I can't..use you...I can't fight like someone like Black☆Star can. I'm completely--

[She decided to stop. The word was on the tip of her tongue, but she wouldn't dare to stay it out loud. However, it still danced in her mind which caused her eyes to narrow slightly at the concrete below her feet.]

[As he could see that the tension was dying out, he slowly unwrapped his fingers around her wrist until he had completely let go. His hand drifted back down to his side.]
